News: Capital Campaign Pro Featured at Fundraising Day in NYC 2026

Capital Campaign Pro was proud to be represented at Fundraising Day in New York (FRDNY) 2026, one of the nonprofit sector’s premier professional development conferences.

Our own Sarah Plimpton, Vice President of Campaigns & Client Happiness, moderated the session, Modern Capital Campaigns: How Small Teams Raise Big Money, featuring Jacqueline House, MBA, CFRE, Vice President of Communications & Community Engagement at Safe Children Coalition, and Adam Johnston, Director of Special Projects at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.

The panel explored how today’s capital campaigns are evolving and how small to mid-sized organizations are successfully raising transformational gifts with lean development teams, strategic planning, and strong donor engagement.

Drawing from their real-world experiences leading active capital campaigns, Jacqueline and Adam shared practical lessons learned throughout the campaign journey—from early planning and board engagement to donor cultivation, campaign momentum, and navigating the unique challenges faced by smaller fundraising teams.

Key topics included:

  • How small development teams can successfully lead major fundraising initiatives
  • Strategies for campaign planning and preparation
  • The role of boards and volunteer leaders in campaign success
  • Building and strengthening donor relationships throughout a campaign
  • Maintaining momentum during the public phase of a campaign
  • Practical approaches to running effective and affordable capital campaigns

At Capital Campaign Pro, we believe successful campaigns are not reserved for large institutions with an extensive fundraising team. With the right strategy, structure, and support, organizations of all sizes can achieve ambitious fundraising goals and create lasting impact.

We were honored to contribute to this important conversation and grateful to Fundraising Day in New York for the opportunity to share insights alongside outstanding nonprofit leaders from across the sector.
