Sometimes Words Aren’t Enough: An Expression of Our Appreciation
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it’s likely you’ve got gratitude on your mind.
One question I’ve been struggling with is how to express my sincere thanks to YOU in a meaningful and authentic way during the busy hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Time is limited and, like you, I’ve got hundreds of items on my to-do list.
Gratitude can be most meaningful one-on-one. However, sometimes it is appropriate to shout “thanks” in the public square. This feels like one of those times.
A Heartfelt Thank You to YOU
While it’s not the only thing I’ll be doing to express my gratitude this holiday season, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you right here and now.
Thank you for giving me and Andrea your precious time and attention. You come back to our blog week-after-week, trusting we will have something meaningful, important, and insightful to say. In a world inundated with content, I am thankful you are here with us.
Celebrating Milestones
Thanks to our amazing clients. Capital Campaign Pro is about to celebrate our fourth anniversary of supporting nonprofit leaders through campaigns and we couldn’t have done it without incredible partners. During the last four years, we have worked with over a hundred organizations and hundreds of nonprofit leaders.
This year, we saw many of our earliest clients surpass their campaign goals. We — along with our clients — had much to celebrate and be grateful for.
Appreciating Innovation
If you’ve joined us this year during our weekly Campaign Conversations or listened to our podcast, All About Capital Campaigns, you probably know we advocate and support a new model of feasibility study. We’re not shy about shouting, there’s a better way! And the proof is in the pudding.
Our team of expert campaign advisors guided over three dozen organizations through a feasibility study where the nonprofit leadership conducts donor interviews (not the consultants). The results have exceeded our wildest expectations.
Four years ago, we weren’t yet 100% sure this new feasibility study model worked. We now know it unequivocally works!
Our Campaign Clients
Schools, hospitals, performing arts centers, animal shelters, land trusts, and social service and justice organizations, are just a few of the organizations I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to work with and support each year.
Our clients have entrusted our team to guide them over their biggest fundraising goal to date. Working with our clients is a source of great joy and I couldn’t be prouder.
I am thankful for your feedback, references, and referrals, which you have provided graciously and generously.
A Recent Accolade
We absolutely treasure your feedback. Here is one such recent comment that made my day:
“I seriously can’t believe we have raised $5.3 million. I remember when we finally broke $1 million and it seemed so hard. I thought we would never ever be able to raise this much. You all were lifesavers. You kept me sane and taught me so many things! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Expert Campaign Advisors
We could not do what we do without our amazing Toolkit team! We have attracted and recruited the best of the best, all of whom have a minimum of ten years of fundraising and campaign experience.
Most of our advisors have more than twenty years of campaigns under their belts. I am so grateful that our advisors go above and beyond with clients. They are such an amazing group of people to work with as friends and colleagues.
Capstone Celebration
When Andrea and I dreamed up Capital Campaign Pro in 2017, she committed to working on the business for two years. The idea was that the Toolkit would be her swan song.
Nearly five years later, she remains as committed as ever to the vision of a better way to support nonprofit leaders through campaigns, as well as to our team and clients.
I could not ask for a better business partner, colleague, friend, and mentor. I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to work with, learn from, and laugh with her every day.
Genuine Words of Gratitude
Here’s hoping the sentiments I’ve shared above ring true. My words are genuine, authentic, and as specific as possible. And I mean every single one.
Perhaps sometimes words are enough. I hope this is one of those times.

Beautifully expressed! Thank you, Amy. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thank you for your very kind note of gratitude. I want you and Andrea to know that I sincerely appreciated listening to your weekly recorded Capital Campaign Toolkit talks, especially during the pandemic. We launched our capital campaign for a NICU and expanded and remodeled maternity unit on October 1, 2020 and I was nervous. We had to pivot to a campaign microsite, instead of using hard copy collateral and in person visits, due to the pandemic.
Our goal was $5M and we are at nearly $6M after two years. Your encouragement and ongoing support through your toolkit talks were so helpful. I thought I knew it all, having been through campaigns before, but I found I learned something almost every time I listened. Thank you and best of wishes to continued success! Gratefully, Nan Bush, Green Bay, WI

Thank you, Amy! We are all so grateful for you and Andrea. Your weekly zooms kept us all sane during the pandemic and your advice and tips have helped us in our campaign. We are about to reach a goal which is double what our feasibility consultants predicted we could raise!
I look forward to being a Toolkit client in our next campaign.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

Amy, the information and knowledge that you and Andrea provide on a regular basis is a gift to our profession. I have been doing capital fundraising nearly 40 years, and I still review your materials and posts to be sure I’m on track. Thank you so much!
