Shelley Semmler
Shelley Semmler is a Campaign Advisor for Capital Campaign Pro. She is also a Senior Consultant for the Aspen Leadership Group, an Executive Search Firm focusing on careers in Philanthropy.
With over 30 years in the field of Advancement, she has led several campaigns for both higher education and non-profits. As Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Ithaca College, she led the offices of development, alumni relations and marketing communications and completed the College’s first comprehensive campaign. Shelley previously held numerous senior development positions at Cornell University and for several years raised funds in Asia for Cornell while living in Australia.
Shelley has served on many boards, including the CASE Commission on Alumni Relations. In 2006 she received the Professional of the Year Award from Case District II.
Areas of Expertise
Shelley has significant experience in campaign fundraising serving in various capacities including CDO, consultant and volunteer. She has a particular interest in partnering with non-profits to build fundraising capacity, specifically in the areas of individual giving. She also enjoys the entire process of campaign planning and execution.
For the last ten years, Shelley has turned her attention to helping non-profits, with a particular interest in human services.

Shelley lives with her partner, Murray, and has “adopted” his entire family. Living on a lake with a mountain view in Western North Carolina wouldn’t be complete without her precious mini-Australian Labradoodle, Haley.
When not working, Shelley stays active playing pickleball, hiking and biking.
