Sarah Plimpton
Sarah Plimpton is the Director of Client Happiness (aka “Chief Happiness Officer”) at Capital Campaign Pro.
Sarah spent the first part of her career at one of the largest capital campaign consultancies in the world. For more than twelve years, she worked alongside non-profit executives spanning nearly every sector to design and lead transformational capital campaigns.
During this time, she led more than one thousand feasibility study discussions with philanthropists and served as resident campaign counsel on several ambitious campaigns — all of which met or exceeded goal. She has particular expertise in the education, healthcare, and conservation sectors.
Sarah also served as Director of Development for an independent day school in Portland, Maine, where she designed and led the school’s largest capital campaign—one that raised more money in less time than any of the school’s previous efforts. Sarah’s leadership transformed the school’s culture of philanthropy and heralded a new era of donor-centered giving and volunteer fundraising for the community.
Areas of Expertise
Sarah most enjoys helping nonprofit leaders gain confidence and comfort in the art and science of capital campaign fundraising.
A strategist at heart, she delights in the nuance of helping clients cultivate deeper relationships with their donors and volunteers, and she believes campaigns ought to catalyze far more than just dollars in the door.
